WINEMAKING NOTES
Combining elements of both the Old and New World, our Syrah Cuvée Classique ultimately leans toward the Rhône Valley in style — hence the name. While its sibling, Cuvée Violette, highlights Syrah’s floral and perfumed grace, Cuvée Classique reveals the darker, savoury, and more powerful expression of this noble grape.
The 2022 vintage shows heightened elegance and restraint, offering structure without excess weight. Aromas of black and white peppercorn intertwine with notes of rusted iron, red bramble fruit, black olive, and aromatic herbs. There is impressive harmony already on display, with a level of finesse not always found in youth. Enjoyable now with a proper decant, it also has the balance and depth to evolve confidently for a decade or more.
